Check out our recent publication! YMHtech lab director Dr. Shalini Lal published an article titled “Use of technology to provide mental health services to youth experiencing homelessness: Scoping review” in collaboration with lab members Sarah Elias, Vida Sieu and Dr. Rossana Peredo, in the Journal of Medical Internet Research (JMIR).

This scoping review aims to synthesize knowledge on the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) to inform mental health services and interventions aimed towards youth experiencing homelessness (YEH).

This research has many important implications for YEH populations considering the relevance of ICTS in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Seeing the impact of the pandemic on the mental health of many, especially YEH populations, such advancements in the synthesis of knowledge are critical to ensure and inform the best available care for YEH.
