E-mental health is a promising approach that could help address the treatment gap in mental health care. E-mental health involves leveraging the Internet and related technologies such as smartphone apps, websites, and social media to deliver mental health services. 

Covering developments in e-mental health policy, research, and practice, Dr. Lal’s paper provides a snapshot of the e-mental health field within Canada. In addition, she touches on the barriers preventing the implementation of e-mental health, and presents 10 key strategies to advance its adoption.
