L'été touche à sa fin, tout comme le temps passé avec nos stagiaires d'été. Le laboratoire SMJ-techno aimerait remercier Sarra, Rahul, Kawtar, Sam et Lily pour tout le merveilleux travail qu'ils ont accompli pendant l'été !
Voici quelques mots de nos stagiaires d'été sur ce qui les attend :
Sarra a terminé sa maîtrise en sciences biomédicales dans la filière des sciences psychiatriques et est actuellement étudiante à la maîtrise dans le programme d'ergothérapie de l'Université de Montréal. Sarra reste au laboratoire SMJ-techno en tant que stagiaire de recherche et travaillera à la boîte à outils sur l'examen de la portée et sur plusieurs tâches administratives au sein du laboratoire.
Rahul est en deuxième année d'informatique à l'Université de Waterloo. Il retourne à l'école pour en apprendre davantage sur l'informatique. En termes d'objectifs à long terme, Rahul aimerait éventuellement se lancer dans le développement de logiciels d'IA et acquérir plus d'expérience dans ce domaine.
Kawtar a obtenu un baccalauréat en sciences avec une mineure en sciences de la vie. Elle est de retour aux études, maintenant en deuxième année de médecine à l'Université d'Ottawa. Elle s'efforce actuellement d'accroître les possibilités de réseautage et d'apprentissage pour les étudiants francophones en médecine par le biais du groupe d'intérêt en médecine francophone qu'elle a cofondé à son université.
Sam est en deuxième année de génie biomédical à l'Université de Waterloo. Il a l'intention d'essayer divers emplois (tant en termes de responsabilités/titre que de cadre) au cours de ses autres stages. Après ses études et son stage, le travail au laboratoire SMJ-techno lui a ouvert les yeux sur la possibilité d'une carrière dans la recherche.
Lily est une étudiante de quatrième année du premier cycle en psychologie à l'Université McGill. Elle reste au laboratoire SMJ-techno en tant que stagiaire de recherche et travaillera sur des projets de type examen de la portée et diverses tâches administratives au sein du laboratoire.

As summer has come to an end, so has our time with our summer interns. YMHtech Lab would like to thank Sarra, Rahul, Kawtar, Sam, and Lily for all the wonderful work they have done over the summer!
Here are a couple of words from our summer interns on what’s next for them:
Sarra completed her Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences in the Psychiatric Sciences stream and is currently a Master’s student in the Occupational Therapy program at the University of Montreal. Sarra is staying on at YMHTech lab as a student research intern and will be working on the Scoping Review Toolkit and several administrative tasks.
Rahul is in his second year at the University of Waterloo in Computer Science. He is going back to school to learn more about computer science. In terms of long-term goals, Rahul would love to eventually go into AI software development and gain more experience in this field.
Kawtar completed a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Life Sciences. She is back to school, now in her second year of medical school at the University of Ottawa. She is currently working on increasing networking and learning opportunities for Francophone medical students through the Francophone Medicine Interest Group she co-founded at her university.
Sam is in his second year in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Waterloo. He is planning on trying out diverse jobs (both in terms of responsibilities/title and setting) over the course of his remaining co-ops. After undergrad and co-op, the job at the YMHtech lab opened his eyes to the possibility of a career in research.
Lily is a fourth-year undergraduate Psychology student at McGill University. She is staying on at YMHTech lab as a research intern and will be working on scoping review projects and various administrative tasks with the lab.
